DIY Face Mask - Facial Covering Detox

Facial Covering Detox Face Mask

Facial Covering Detox Face Mask

Everyone I know is complaining about breaking out from wearing facial coverings for extended periods of time. This simple recipe is the perfect solution plus you can find all the ingredients in your kitchen. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which helps reduce acne. As an added bounce these ingredients also contain antioxidants which reduce fine lines and slows aging. Directions: Mix ingredients. Apply to face and neck with clean hands or applicator (a clean fountain brush works great). Wash off after 15-30 minutes. Pat dry. Apply moisturizer (preferable Face Oil but jojoba oil or extra virgin olive oil works great too). Repeat 2-3 a week.

Review:

I have been looking forward to using ginger root in a face mask because of its warming properties. I noticed the longer this mask was on the warm it left on my face. To the touch my face was still cool/room temperature. As the mask dried, it became tighter like most mask do and my skin left as though it was slightly pulsing. The whole experience was very relaxing and new. I was a little worried that it may be hard to rinse off like the Activated Charcoal Clay Mask can be but to my surprises it came off very easily under the flow of warm water. My face was slightly pink for about 15 or so minutes but nothing to cause alarm or unusual.  Since this recipe made enough for two mask, I refrigerated it over night, add a few drops of water and reapplied before getting in the shower.  This time I only left it on for about 5-10 minutes. The addition of the extra water made the mask thinner and turned out to be a decent exfoliant and became quite warm.  My skin felt incredibly soft for the reminder of the day. I do believe I am falling in love with using ginger root in my skin care. I am thinking about adding it to my usual face scrub, as well.  I would love to hear your feed back! What did you like or dislike? What would you change? Looking forward to hearing you! :)
